Joint venture Eos, which WorleyParsons Limited (WOR) forms a part of, has reached an agreement with Exxon Mobil subsidiary Esso Highlands Ltd covering project services for the Papua New Guinea liquid natural gas project (PNG LNG) extending to the end of 2014. Along with JV partner Kellogg Brown & Root, Worley said the agreement involves providing engineering, training, in-country support services and integrated project team services for construction and project management.
The oil field engineering company said the agreement maintains Eos’ engagement in the upstream component of the proposed PNG LNG development following the completion of its current FEED services contract.
WorleyParsons CEO John Grill said the company was delighted the joint venture had been selected to continue supporting the project.
“We will draw upon Eos’ collective strong track record in successful major infrastructure project delivery in Papua New Guinea and the LNG market,” Mr Grill added.
At 1116 AEST, WorleyParsons shares were down 50c to $22.67.
